EN: This niche fountain is located on Rebgasse in Basel. Its design is quite simple. The trough narrows on the right side. It is probably the only fountain in the city, which is not provided with a mural. However, there is a mosaic right next to the fountain on the outside wall. The fountain is called New Rebgasse Fountain, which means it must have been an older one before. The fountain itself is not dated; but the mosaic is dated 1955, which could also suit the fountain.
DE: Dieser Nischenbrunnen befindet sich an der Rebgasse in Basel. Er ist ziemlich einfach gestaltet. Der Trog wird an der rechten Seite schmaler. Es ist vermutlich der einzige NIschenbrunnen der Stadt, der nicht mit einem Wandbild versehen ist. Allerdings befindet sich gleich neben dem Brunnen an der Aussenwand ein Mosaik. Der Brunnen heisst Neuer Rebgasse-Brunnen, was bedeutet, dass es zuvor einen älteren gegeben haben muss. Der Brunnen ist selbst nicht datiert; das Mosaik stammt aber von 1955, was auch für den Brunnen passen könnte.
