A small concrete monument with a short flagpole and a metal plaque dedicated to six veterans of WW II from the local community. The monument lists the names of Cladue E. Gowey, Jr.; Edward Johnson; Lauren B. Lamp; LeRoy L Wallet; Sylvan R. Pool; and Lyle P. Higbee. It's located in a small sitting park next door to the Shedd Museum in Shedd, OR. The park does have a gate with a latch. The gate is there to keep dogs out, not waymark hunters. Be sure to latch the gate behind you. Enjoy!
