You are Here marker located at the entrance to the Southwold Earthworks National Historic Site of Canada, near Iona.
The Southwold Earthworks were built around five to six hundred years ago by a tribe of Indigenous Peoples called the Neutral People. The earthworks are unique in that they contain a double row of defences.
This portion of the 4,000 plus mile Trans Canada Trail, named the Dutton/Dunwich segment, stretches 29 Km from Dunborough Road to the Earthworks.
The marker is accessed from Iona Road just north of Erin Line.
