Famous rock formation called Poklicky (Pot lids) in Kokorín Valley Nature Reserve was a motif of the stamp issued on 2006 as a part of stamp series "Beauties of Our Country". The author of its artistic design issue is a painter Adolf Absolon and the author of the engraving is an engraver Martin Srb.
Kokorínsko nature reserve is a cretaceous chalk plate area of Bohemia with unique geomorphological relief made of block sandstone. The formation called Poklicky i.e. pot lids, is connected with erosion and with the hardness of the materials affected: hence, the upper part of the "hoods" consists of sand-iron sediments while the bottom part is formed of sand-clay materials.
