Fairis Rue Walden lived from 1896 to 1971, making his headstone the most current Woodman of the World headstone I've come across (its actually a Neighbors of Woodcraft symbol).
FindaGrave.com contains an obituary for Fairis which reads:
Eugene Register-Guard, Eugene, Lane Co., Oregon; Saturday, August 21, 1971 Pg 16B
Fairis Rue Walden, pioneer resident of Monroe, Oregon passed away August 20, 1971 at the age of 74. He was born in Monroe, December 16, 1896. He was preceded in death by his wife. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Jean Freeman of Junction City, Mrs. Maxine Courtright of Springfield, Mrs. Doris Hill of Eugene; two sons: Bud of Monroe, Fairis of Roseburg; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. One son, George, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in the Junction City Chapel of the Murphy Funeral Homes. Interment in the Monroe Cemetery.
Fairis' wife, Clara, was only 26 years of age when she passed. Her headstone also contains a Neighbors of Woodcraft symbol but I somehow missed taking a photo of it.
