A metal sign on the cemetery arch leading into the cemetery grounds reads '1850' making this the oldest Oregon cemetery I've visited thus far in my travels throughout the northwest. This is an official Historic Cemetery as listed in the Oregon Historic Cemeteries Index. Approximately 800 graves exist here and this cemetery is well-maintained by the cemetery association. The cemetery is still active.
