The town of Newalla was given the name from an Osage word referring to the Canadian River. It has a population of approximately 9500. The post office was established in 1904. The current post office is at 5900 S. Harrah Road. This is a one-story brick building with a gable roof and a glass entry.
The counter is open Mon-Fri from 8:30-12:00; 1:00-4:30. It is open on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 and closed Sunday. The lobby is open 24/7.
