The family name, "Whitley" is on the plinth. The Woodmen of the World emblem itself has been worn down by time and the elements, but the tree stump and "Dum Tacet Clamat" are still fairly easy to see. There is also a ribbon with "Erected by the Woodmen of the World" above the emblem, with this inscription below:
