Today, the former copper mine, which is a must-see visitor mine, clearly shows how hard and difficult the work once must have been. Partly you could work in the narrow gallery only while lying down. Often children were also used underground, which prematurely because of poor nutrition, accidents and hard work. Today, in the Bergfreiheiter Stollen, under expert guidance with pit helmets on the head and solid protective clothing, you can immerse yourself in an unreal, yet fascinating underworld in the footsteps of the "Dwarfs" from Grimm's Snow White fairy tale.
