This almost seemed to be an 'Exercise Beach', as there wasn't any 'die-hard' surfers in the water, when I was there at sunset. There is a Surf Patrol building at the car park, so it does get well used in summer time.

It has a little bit of protection against the southern swells, from the large boulder breakwalls, that protect the Camden Haven River outlet. There are a couple of sandy tracks down to a broad sandy beach, that run through rehabilitated sand dunes. There is a reasonable sized asphalted car park, though in summer time you may need to park on the side of the road, much further back. There is a kiosk at the Camden Haven Surf Life Saving Club, that is open in 'Peak Times', eg, summer school holidays.
