An interpretive display within The Danish Cemetery mentions Mary K. Petersen's tombstone as being the oldest here. She is buried next to her husband, Peter, who has a seperate headstone. Both are buries near the cemetery arch at the entrance to the cemetery.
Mary was born on July 31, 1869 and died on May 16, 1904 at only 34 years in age.
