This anchor is on display in the locomotives pavilion inside the Canada Science and Technology Museum at 1867 St Laurent Boulevard. Admission fee is required. The museum has assigned it an artifact number: 1966.0302.001. The English-language title for the anchor display is A Weighty Matter. Artifact Markings
Cast in raised print on right fluke: '3916', a circle containing three 'U' shapes all joining at curve, and a diamond symbol (near point) on which text is present but illegible/ Cast in raised print on left fluke: '2195 K', casting mark incorporating three 'U's, as above, and a circle symbol (near point) on which text is present but illegible/ '3922' cast in raised print on left side of shank/ Numerous markings on shank, most of which are illegible. '2313 KG' & 'ANCHOR AND/ LINKS/ APPROX. 8600 LBS. ?' incised on shank.
