Long Description:
Lincoln School is a one-story building constructed of unrusticated native sandstone laid in a cobweb design. The school is symmetrical with a centered two-door entrance that is slightly recessed under a low-pitched cross gable. The ribbon windows along the front of the school have been partially infilled with wood and glass blocks. On either side of the front entrance are small arched windows. A sidewalk in front of the school is made of separately laid flat stones.

The school is located at 902 Martin Luther King Blvd. and was originally built as a school for black children before desegregation. Local workers were used to build the school, which brought much needed economic help to the local community.

Currently, the school is known as The Lincoln Community School, and the Brighter Futures Foundation operates here, bringing faith-based literacy, fitness and recreation programs.

The website below shows photos of the school in 1985 when it was surveyed by the Oklahoma Historical Society.
