As there is a Woodmen of the World emblem on the headstone, Mr. Koonce was the member of the organization. This is a fairly modern, upright marble headstone, with the family name, "Koonce", in bold up front. The main face has a slope to it, and between the Woodmen of the World emblem are their personal dates:

Note how the death date for Mrs. Koonce is a bit different than the other three dates: It's "Mar" and not "Mar." and no comma separates the day from the year. Maybe the sculptor felt a little cramped.
