The grave for Dr. Michael Robert King is located inside the Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston Ontario. The grave is very close to where Canada's First Prime Minister is buried.

The gravestone has two symbols engraved, those being associated with the medical professionals. One is the caduceus (featuring two snakes winding around a winged staff), with the unique feature that a crown is included on the top of the wings. That crown may represent Dr. Kings service in the Royal Canadian Air Force. The other symbol is the Rod of Asclepius (featuring a single snake winding around a rod). the inscription on the gravestone reads:

His Obituary:
KING, Dr. Michael Robert - At the Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband for 60 years to Joan. Loving father of Paul (Karen), Terry (Colleen), Kathryn (Bill Florence) and Alan. Dear Grandpa to Michael, Alex (Adriana), Adam and Nicole. He was born in Norwich, England. During WW II he and his family were evacuated to Victoria B.C., where he attended Victoria High School, and began his university career. Mike graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 1950. He was the Medical Officer at R.C.A.F. Station Toronto from 1951 until 1954. He was a general medical practitioner, surgeon and obstetrician in Englehart, Ontario from 1956 until his retirement in 1995. Mike was an active curling club member, cottager, traveller and a long time Rotarian. After 57 years in Englehart, he and Joan moved to Kingston, Ontario.
