An 8' high rough cut stone monument has a large bronze plaque with the names of the men who served with Co. I 1st Regiment NY Volunteer Infantry from 1898-1899 in the Spanish-American War. On the front is the bronze emblem of United Spanish War Veterans. Below is a bronze plaque which has the image of an eagle with outspread wings holding a bundle of arrows in its right talon and an olive branch in its left talon. The eagle is superimposed over a banner that is inscribed HONOR ROLL. The plaque is inscribed:
