This fountain, known as "The Family", features a sculpture made by William McElcheran. It's located at St. George's Square in Guelph, Ontario. It was unveiled on July 4, 1985 by Jeanne Sauve the Governor General of Canada at the time.

This fountain and sculpture, "The Family" are dedicated to our forefathers, the men and women who came from other lands to this country, Canada and this community, Guelph.
They and their families give testimony to a spirit that has made our community strong and caring. These men, women and their children have assured our future growth and vitality.
