This grey granite 8 foot by 8 foot mausoleum is located in the Fairview cemetery. The mausoleum is constructed of quarry faced granite. There is a small run of stone at the bottom and a wider run of stone to the roof life. The roof consists of three adjoining granite slabs with a center capstone. The center has an entablature that reads: "J M Bracklin". The door is brass with glass. There is a plain window in the back of the mausoleum.
There is a slab granite headstone outside the mausoleum.
The marker features a ship's wheel. The word 'Captains" appears above.
Below the text reads:

1852 - 1919
A. J Brackin
1879 - 1934
I am assuming riverboat captain since the Mississippi River is only 15 miles away.
