Quelle aubaine, à quelques jours de Pâques. Une nouvelle boutique, Chocolat Pailhasson, vient d'ouvrir place Peyramale à Lourdes. Fondée en 1729, c'est la plus ancienne maison de France, pionnière dans la fabrication du chocolat. Claude Camps, très attaché à cette marque Pailhasson, qu'il a connue tout petit, a tout fait pour la racheter, en 2007, en redonnant vie aux chocolats de son enfance. En 2014, il a donc créé sa boutique avec sa compagne Alexandra, à Ibos, près de Tarbes, où son équipe est composée de onze personnes et où se trouvent ses ateliers de fabrication. Il a pu récupérer moules et anciennes machines. Maître artisan chocolatier confiseur depuis quinze ans, sa deuxième boutique vient d'ouvrir en ce mois d'avril, à Lourdes, dans un lieu symbolique. Une ouverture qui va pouvoir rappeler quelques souvenirs à certains Lourdais. En effet, il y a plus de trois cents ans, cette famille d'apothicaires y vendait du chocolat Pailhasson, considéré comme un excellent fortifiant. De réputation internationale, cette officine médicinale fournissait l'impératrice Eugénie et le pape Léon XIII. Place Peyramale, en centre-ville, la boutique vient d'être complètement refaite, mettant en valeur les divers produits. Deux employés accueillent les clients ravis qui peuvent non seulement acheter tablettes diverses au chocolat noir ou au lait, fruits secs et des raisins, des pralinés, des ganaches, des carrés gourmands, mais aussi toute une gamme de bonbons, Les Turbinés, car enrobés de chocolat… De quoi donner des idées pour les fêtes de Pâques, qui tombent à pic. Le public peut s'y arrêter même plus longtemps pour consommer, au salon de thé, du chocolat chaud, du thé, café et pâtisserie, le tout fait maison. Les heureux et nouveaux propriétaires inaugurent ce nouveau commerce dès ce soir."
