Located at OSU's western-themed Welcome Plaza, this sculpture of a fence and saddle is located at the entrance to a small courtyard that has beautiful landscaping, a fountain, and dedicated benches. To the north is the life-size Proud and Immortal horse sculpture.
Next to the saddle/fence sculpture is a quote by John Wayne:
"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway"
