While there is good results from the 'face-to-face' teaching, a large part of their reputation has come from the Distance Education modules. "Students enrolled in the Distance Education School are located in the region from the Central Coast to Coffs Harbour and inland to the New England Highway, (Armidale and Tamworth) as well as from Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands." At the entrance to the School, from Valley View Road, are four 'pencils', with the following on them:

A personal example of contact with this School, is that both my sons were able to commence their Duke of Edinburgh Award, because one of the teachers from here was linked to the school that they attended in Taree. So a couple of times I have been on the property (supervised) to load up canoes for 'D of E' Expeditions that a son was going on.
