From Las Noticias de Tulum of 30 March 2016: "The remodeled parque Dos Aguas is inaugurated - Tulum, Quintana Roo - Accompanied by the state delegate of the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), Raúl Omar González Castilla, as well as neighbors, pioneers of the city and local officials, the mayor of Tulum, David Balam Chan, inaugurated the remodeling works of the parque Dos Aguas.
With an investment of 4 million 689 thousand 700 pesos, for the benefit of more than 15 thousand inhabitants, the remodeled park has green areas, playgrounds, garbage bins, parking lots for bicycles and an ecological concrete surface.
In addition, a square was built where a statue was also placed to Benemérito de las Américas, Benito Juárez.
Meanwhile, in the traditional kiosk, windows with polarized glass were installed to celebrate activities within the structure without these being affected by bad weather.
