[DE] Auf dem Willkommensschild am Ortseingang von Daun kann man verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten und Wahrzeichen des Ortes und der Umgebung als Holzschnitzerei erkennen.
Abgebildet sind zum Beispiel der fünfbogige Viadukt, der sich direkt hinter diesem Willkommensschild befindet, dann sind die drei Maare (Gemündener Maar, Weinfelder Maar und Schalkenmehrerener Maar) zu sehen. Des weiteren befindet sich der Dronketurm als Holzschnitzerei auf dem Schild und auch die evangelische Kirche mit der Zehntscheune, welche auf der Burg in Daun zu finden ist, wurde hier verewigt. Und über all diese Dinge wacht die große Eule, die oben links positioniert wurde.
