Visitors to the Tyee Wine Cellars will definitely notice a large, lovely cherry tree most likely at least 100 years in age. But if one looks closely, one will notice the tree's trunk contains four horseshoes in its grasp and is slowly devouring them. I'm sure these horseshoes have many stories to tell.

This century farm was once a dairy for many decades until the family decided to convert it to a vineyard and wine tasting room about 15 years ago for visitors. The family has also started growing and producing hazelnuts. This vineyard and wine tasting room are only open seasonally to the public during better weather (April through November). Please keep this in mind if you decides to sample their wines, hazelnuts or take a walk on a mile-long trail the family created a number of years ago.
Type of Tree: Cherry
