Art deco commercial building was erected by Biagio Varisco an emigrant from Italy. Over his lifetime he amassed wealth and became the owner of many downtown Bryan structures. He passed away in 1970.
In 2005 the Astin Partners purchased the Varisco building. At that time the 55,000-square-foot building was 60 percent occupied by an architect, an attorney and a nonprofit organization.
