This small obelisk has floral detail throughout, which is common for zinc headstones, and on the front on the plinth is the family name, "Deen." On the main panel is a ribbon with:

Take them, O
Father, in thine arms
And may they hence-
forth be
Messengers of peace
between
Our human hearts and
thee.

It's fairly uncommon to see lower-case letters on a zinc monument. On the reverse is an epitaph under the same kind of ribbon, in all upper case:

Gone from our
home,
But not from
our hearts.

Each child has their own panel. On Callie's, there is a lamb on the plinth, with this inscription:

Callie,

Son of
John &
Mattie Deen

Born
Feb. 14, 1873,
Died
July 14, 1873.

On the plinth on Mary's panel is a dove, with this inscription:

Mary,
Daughter of
John &
Mattie Deen,

Born
Sept. 29, 1869,
Died
July 29, 1873.
