Under the cover of a large Shade sail, is the main segment of the equipment, being a metal post, and plastic component 'Climbing Gym'. To get up to the multi-level high Platforms, there are several ways, including: a 4-rung Vertical Ladder, a Chain Cargo Net, a 6-Step Hand-Railed Staircase, and an Artificial Rock Climbing Wall. To get 'back down' there are: a Fireman's Pole, a Spiral Slippery Slide, and Side-by-side Slippery Sides. There is also an elevated Climb-through Metal Pipe, of about a metre diameter, to get to separate platforms.

There are also some individual elements, being: a couple of Spring-bouncer Planes, a Spring 'See-Saw', an 'insect-looking' 'Parabolic padded slider, a circular metal-pipe enclosed 'Hirdy-Girdy', and a Lighthouse-looking Climbing Frame with two Ladders into the 'Lens' top.

Please remember, that while St Thomas' Rest Park is 'mostly' a dog- friendly park, having a Leash Free Area, there IS a sign on the fencing of the Playground, which reads:

* NORTH SYDNEY WELCOMES DOGS IN PARKS & RESERVES *
However they are prohibited in the following [laces
* within 10 metres of any Children's play area
* within 10 metres of any Food preparation / consumption areas (picnic tables) play area
Dog faeces must be picked up.
Please use special bins provided in this park.

And, don't forget, that the Playground is also Smoke-Free!
