A look at an informational video at
Jalopnik.com suggests that this might be a 1972 model. The Beetle is red-orange, and rust has set in, primarily on the roof and on the hood. The tires are in various states of inflation, but they're fuller than they are flat. The interior is full of discarded trash. While the body looks like it could be saved, a look at the Texas registration and inspection stickers note that the Beetle was OK to be on the road through January of 2000. Assuming it's sat in the Texas heat and has endured the severe weather of the spring, best of luck getting this one going again.
Be sure to take only photographs and leave only footprints: This stuff doesn't belong to you. There's also a trailer in the woods -- it's more visible than the house -- and while it appears to be abandoned, you never know if someone's still living there.
