Wagoner Grade School (a.k.a. Central Elementary School) is located at the corner of 2nd and Lee In Wagoner. This is a one-story red brick building which is currently painted cream color. The building is U-shaped, with the facade facing north and the wings extending to the south. There is a partial, exposed basement level on the two north-south wings. The roof is flat and the upper walls have been covered with a red metal siding. The original ribbon triple window units have been partially filled with metal siding, leaving the center third as a two-over-two double hung window.
The exterior walls have stepped horizontal bands of brick, with rounded corners. The entrance on the north side is recessed. A bronze WPA shield, mounted at the time of construction, is located under the windows on the front of the building and reads "USA 1937-1938 WPA".
A flat concrete stone is also embedded in the east wall of the school documenting its construction in 1938 and reads:
Wagoner Grade School 1938 Labor Omnia Vincit A.D. 1938 (Masonic emblem) A.L. 5938 This stone presented by Wagoner Chamber of Commerce Laid by the M.W. Grand Lodge A.F. and A.M. of Oklahoma John R. Abernathy Grand Master
