EN: The transformer substation in the village center of Zunzgen was built in 1920. The architect was Hans Ryf-Eggler. The square tower has a pyramidal roof adorned with a dated weathervane. The arch frieze in the upper third of the building, the round-arched door and the neo-Gothic windows give it a medieval look.
The station is still in operation, with modernized interior technology.
DE: Die Transformatorenstation im Dorfzentrum von Zunzgen wurde 1920 erbaut. Der Architekt war Hans Ryf-Eggler. Das quadratische Türmchen hat ein Pyramidendach, das von einer Windfahne mit Jahreszahl geschmückt ist. Das Bogenfries im oberen Drittel des Gebäudes, die rundbogige Tür und die neugotischen Fenster verleihen ihm ein mittelalterliches Aussehen.
Die Station ist, mit modernisierter Innenaustattung, noch in Betrieb.
