This beautiful Stained Glass Window, at the base of the Bell Tower, and facing south, is in a Gothic-arched shaped window. It depicts a kneeling soldier, holding a gold-handled sword, at the feet of beatified Jesus Christ.
At the top of the scene, above the haloed head of Christ is the wording:
"Well done thou Good
and Faithful Servant"
While, at the bottom of the brilliantly coloured scene is:
"In Loving Remembrance of
Lan. Corporal C.W.D. Wheeldon
Killed in Action - 1918"
Access: While the BEST view is 'obviously' from inside, it is now a private residence, and if you do catch up with Simon and/Ineka, mentioning my name may get you the chance to get to the bottom of the Bell Tower and get a similar inside photo.
* Otherwise: a reasonable photo can be taken from the outside of the church. *
