Living New Deal

The bridge was designed and financed by the Texas Highway Department and the United States Bureau of Public Roads and built in 1934 by Edwin Artmann, contractor.

A new bridge was built southwest of the old Grassy Creek Bridge and Highway 105 realigned to it. The old bridge is blocked to traffic. It is accessible by foot or bicycle but not attached to any trail or walkway.
