The Mopoke Gully water wheel was built for the Bendigo and Fryers Mining Company in the 1850's and operated until the 1900's.The Water Wheel had a diameter of 60feet (20m )with a gear of 40ft in diameter that drove a ten head stamper. The remains consist of the abutments which were built into the hillside and differs from the Garfield Wheel (WMK0NA) that was built above the ground.
