This unusual Abstract Sculpture is just north of the Port Macquarie Library. It is set on four, blue painted, 8 cm thick, curved steel 'legs' with holes cut through them of various sizes, from 20 to 40 cm diameter. Attached to the legs are four 'arms', or tentacles. These each support at their tips, ~60 cm baked yellow clay spheres, that have 'hieroglyphics' pressed into them. They are at similar 'orbit' distances from the main, attention grabbing object of the sculpture, a large elliptic yellow clay 'orb' at the 'centre' of it. There are also hieroglyphic style emblems moulded onto its surface.
In the landscaped garden is an oval bronze plaque, with the following inscription:
A DEVICE FOR ORIENTING ONESELF
