Fallen Warriors Memorial Guest Book - Houston, TX - Guest Books on Waymarking.com

Donated by funds raised by the National Memorial Ladies -- a nonprofit group of volunteers that attends military burial services at Houston's National Cemetery -- the Fallen Warriors Memorial is a solemn dedication to the 600+ soldiers from Texas who gave their lives fighting the war against terrorism (mostly focusing on those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan). It was dedicated on October 6th, 2012.

Funded solely by private and corporate donations, the memorial features an 8-foot tall granite centerpiece with a bronze statue of the traditional battlefield cross on its top (i.e. boots next to a rifle with bayonet attached and helmet on top), surrounded by 4 granite walls listed the names, ranks and military branches of each Texan killed during the Middle East conflicts. The memorial was officially dedicated on October 6th, 2012.

At the entrance of the memorial is a dedicated Guest Book area, with its own granite podium and sturdy Visitor Register. The countertop of the podium states:
