La passe migratoire de Cap-Santé a été conçue pour permettre au saumon atlantique (Salmo salar) qui remonte la rivière Jacques-Cartier lors de la période de fraie, de franchir le barrage hydroélectrique de Donnacona érigé au début du siècle.
