Puis la «sono» joue la «Marseillaise». Dans les rangs, à l'exception de quelques rires ironiques, on reste dignes et droits. Quelques-uns chantent l'hymne national, la rage au coeur.

«Les salariés du GIAT savent bien qu'une seule alternative s'offre à eux : la lutte juqu'à la victoire», a conclu Daniel Gerbault.
Après cette cérémonie empreinte de symbole, les arsenalistes ont pris la direction du conseil général, plus décidés que jamais à défendre l'héritage du lieutenant-colonel Verchère de Reffye."
