An old half-timbered building, once the old Grammar School Headmaster's House from 1511, restored in 1975 and awarded a Heritage Year Award for Renovation/Restoration during European Architectural Year 1975.
From a local website -
Apparently the old Grammar School was in the grounds but was demolished in the 1960's as it was deemed to be unsafe. The house was built in 1500 and completed in 1511, at the end of the drive was a stable block. The white section of the Headmaster's House was added in the reign of George III, between 1738 and 1820
