This granite statue and plinth is located in the Heroes' Plaza - NW corner of Woodson and Rock Island. The inscription reads:

IN HONOR

of Those Citizens of
Canadian County Who
Served Their Country
During the World War

1914 - 1918

They served without thought of self
that the principles of Liberty, Justice
and Equality, might prevail for all
mankind.

On the three sides of the Memorial
are the names of those who
made the Supreme Sacrifice.

Erected by
The Canadian County
Council of Defence.

PHYSICAL LOCATION:
This is part of a larger Heroes' Plaza located at NW corner of Woodson and Rock Island. Plaza also has memorials for WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, as well as a Wall of Remembrance where personalized bricks are placed into the wall.
