Boggabri railway station is located on the Mungindi line. It serves the town of Boggabri & opened on 11 July 1882 when the line was extended from Gunnedah. It was the terminus of the line until the line was extended to Moree on 1 April 1897.

The Railway Station is heritage listed with the NSW Government's Office of Environment & Heritage (visit link) which states (in part):

The brick station building is a small third class structure with awning to the platform supported on timber posts with timber valance to awning ends. The roof is gabled and clad in corrugated iron with corbelled brick chimneys. The rear entry to the building features a central gabled bay with central door.
