The intention to build the hall was reported in The Inverell Times newspaper on 13 July 1953. The article which appears in the Monument Australia website (
visit link) states:
The hall which it is proposed to erect at Graman will be in the form of a memorial to fallen soldiers of the wars of 1914-18 and 1939-45. It will be designated "The Graman Memorial Hall" and will contain appropriate honor rolls, etc. The aim of the organisation is to erect a building of as high a standard as financially possible, with architectural beauty as the keynote.
The Memorial Hall is still in a good state of repair. Any Honour Rolls are inside & therefore only visible at functions or on ANZAC Day.
Type of Memorial: Non-Specific Memorial
In Honor Of: Usually is the operative word so having said that you cannot expect there will always be something to type here.
