I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark in good condition. It is a brass disk monumented in front of the former Goldfield Hotel. The disk bears the elevation stamping '5689.342'. My more accurate coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 AT GOLDFIELD. AT GOLDFIELD, 0.15 MILE WEST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 95 FROM THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, AT THE ABANDONED GOLDFIELD HOTEL, SET VERTICALLY IN THE WEST GRANITE WALL, 101.5 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 11.7 FEET EAST OF THE EAST EDGE OF A STREET, 5.8 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE LOBBY, AND 2.2 FEET ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE SIDEWALK.

NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. 0.2 KM (0.1 MI) NORTHWEST ALONG US HIGHWAY 95 FROM THE COURTHOUSE IN GOLDFIELD, SET VERTICALLY IN THE WEST WALL OF AN ABANDON HOTEL, IN THE GRANITE BASE OF THE NORTH BRICK PILLAR, 30.7 METERS (101 FT) SOUTH OF THE HIGHWAY CENTERLINE, 3.3 METERS (11 FT) EAST OF THE EAST EDGE OF A SIDE STREET, 0.6 METER (2 FT) ABOVE THE GROUND.
