Tout près du grand et magnifique viaduc de la baie de Chanteloube, abandonné avant d'avoir pu servir, on peut voir ce très modeste pont, lui aussi à l'abandon.
Le grand viaduc de la baie devait être ferroviaire, celui-ci devait être routier mais la route n'est jamais allé plus loin que lui.
L'abandon du projet les a mis tous les deux au rebut.
