Mit ihm wurde der erste Bürger mit dem Ehrentitel „Addene Jong“ ausgezeichnet. Karl-Heinz Bell hat hier über viele Jahrzehnte Frohsinn verbreitet und großes soziales Engagement gezeigt. In ganz Adenau ist er stadtbekannt. Die Karnevalsgesellschaft Rot-Weiß Adenau hat es sich zum Anliegen gemacht, in Anlehnung an die Figur des „Addene Jong“ ein Denkmal zu schaffen, das drei Charaktermerkmale vereint - Originalität, soziales Engagement und Frohsinn. Somit wird die Heimatgeschichte belebt und durch ein Identität stiftendes Kunstwerk bewahrt.
So war erst kürzlich beim Start in die diesjährige Session das Motto „Mir feiern mit Schwung, de Addene Jong“ zu hören."
