The restored Enlisted Men's Barracks is the largest building at Fort Laramie, and is used by the National Park Service for exhibit space and some park offices.
The barracks building earned this mention in the WPA Wyoming Guide:
"The ENLISTED MEN’S BARRACKS, north of the trail marker, the largest building, is 300 feet long and has walls of lime grout more than 20 inches thick. A dance hall (124 x 34 feet) on the grid second floor was a place of relaxation for soldiers and cowpunchers. The building is now used by the National Park Service."
