Located on the courtyard of the University of Texas at Austin's Alumni Center (a.k.a the "Etter-Harbin Alumni Center", abbreviated to "UTX" on campus building maps), "The Graduate" is one of two statues honoring the life of all UT "Longhorns" before and after their graduation.
It was designed by sculptor Sharon Connally Ammann and gifted to the Alumni Association by Jerry & Sylvia Wilkenfeld (and their family), former UT students.
It is a life-size image of a young lady dressed in a business suit, writing something on a legal notepad. It is seated on a bench with available seating next to it.
A plaque next to the sculpture reads:
---
