On September 15, 2001, just a few days after "9/11", graduates of the University of Texas at Austin -- a.k.a. the "Texas Exes" Student Chapter -- placed a small time capsule in the courtyard of the university's Alumni Center (a.k.a the "Etter-Harbin Alumni Center", abbreviated to "UTX" on campus building maps) -- to be opened 50 years from now. The capsule is located by a small stone ledge overlooking Waller Creek, a tiny creek running through the university's campus.
Since its placement occurred shortly after 9/11, no specific information could be found in any newspaper article regarding its dedication: everyone was obviously preoccupied with other matters at that time.
The plaque on the time capsule reads:
----
The Texas Exes Student Chapter
dedicates this time capsule
