The Presbyterian Church is the oldest organized denomination in Taylor. In 1878 the church constructed a frame building on this site, and replaced it in 1912 with this structure when the congregation outgrew their small building.

Texas Historic Site Atlas

Single-story brick over full, partially raised basement. Monumental stairs led to main level. Square plan with corner offsets to create receding planes typified by the Beaux-Arts Classical style. Stained glass windows are round-arched.
