Beyer's Building is one of many exhibits that show the rich history of this Hill Country town at the museum, housed in the historic 1911 Santa Fe Railroad Depot at the crossroads of Highways 83 and 190 in Menard.

The museum's main room has portraits and photos of Menard pioneers and their families and black and white pictures of those that worked on the railroad.

One of the oldest objects is a two-ton grist mill from 1862 that was found several feet below ground when the city dug for a water well.
