Le 19 juin 1940, trois avions allemands apparaissent dans le ciel de Limoges, plongent subitement vers la gare toute proche, mitraillent au hasard, larguent cinq bombes. L'une atteint la cité des Coutures faisant trois victimes.
Les traces de ce bombardement sont encore visibles sur la facade des batiments.

On June 19, 1940, three German planes appear in the sky of Limoges, plunge suddenly to the nearby trainstation, machine-gun at random, drop five bombs. One reaches the "cité des Coutures", killing three people.
The traces of this bombardment are still visible on the facade of the buildings.
